Lauren Jackson is one of the star players in Australia and has also played in the US WNBA.
She has been suffering from a leg injury for the past three months and there was hope that she would be able to play last nights game.

Minor note - it's actually the WNBA in the US.
She plays for the local Seattle Storm and she and Sue Bird were basically the reason we won a championship two years ago. Hope she's healthy in time for our season.
